I’m a 90’s kid. That should be pretty apparent by now. The 90’s was a fantastic mixed batch of good and horrendous films but there are many that hold special place in my heart. I grew up watching 90’s Rom-coms like “You’ve Got Mail”, “Sleepless in Seattle” and “While You Were Sleeping”, the subject of today’s review. They kind of became my base for what’s enjoyable in a rom-com which might actually be why I don’t like modern romantic comedies very much, now that I come to think about it.
Sadly I must admit that I hadn’t watched “While You Were Sleeping” in a very, very long time (possibly 10 years-ish!). I know, it’s a crime! But, for whatever reason, a couple weeks ago I started busting up laughing thinking about Joe Jr and realized that this movies takes place during Christmas time. So I HAD to review it!
Funny story though. After I finished version one and had uploaded it to our YouTube channel, it was BLOCKED WORLDWIDE by Disney. This was my first review to be blocked worldwide (my review for Outlaw King was partially blocked and that’s just butt stupid) but it kind of unsettled me. It took 4 more versions to get the unblocked version you see here. Hopefully it stays that way.
But I must ask you now: should I tackled more 90’s classics like these?
