Spooktober continues with an otaku classic from the director of Wicked City and Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust!!!!
This is perhaps an odd choice for a Halloween episode here at You Can't Unwatch It but I had such a great time watching Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust and making the episode for it with my sister last year that I really wanted to cover Ninja Scroll this year. Sure I could have covered something a touch more in line with the season like Guillermo del Toro's Crimson Peak or Masaki Kobayahi's Kaidan (which I want to cover later) but as I will state in the review itself, I believe there are elements that make it qualify despite it taking place in Edo Japan. Enjoy the review and if you qualify to be part of the mature audience that is film is recommended for, check out the movie. It rocks!!!!
